Controlled Environment User Group Annual Meeting
Weiss Gallenkamp recently attended the Controlled Environment User Group Annual Meeting at the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research in Aberystwyth.
The theme of the event was 'Cutting the costs: Towards energy efficient controlled environments'. Weiss Gallenkamp have extensively researched methods of increasing the efficiency of our growth cabinets, and have developed numerous ways of doing so.
The processes of plant based research requiring controlled environments facilities consume large quantities of energy and resources, both during their manufacture and use. The installation and running costs of CE facilities are escalating and CE's are significant energy consumers in many organisations. Managers of CE facilities are particularly facing increased pressure to reduce running costs.
Weiss Gallenkamp are at the forefront of research and development into Energy Efficient Controlled Environments.
Our Plant Growth Cabinets and Rooms are temperature controlled for energy efficiency, and also use the latest high efficiency, high frequency lamps. These use up to 25% less energy than ordinary fluorescent lamps.
The facility for the user to regulate the light output to the exact level required is a standard feature across the range.
