Mambo-tox order SGR 222 CFH.J Standard Growth Room

Mambo-tox are a contract research organisation that offers services for the evaluation of agrochemicals and biocides. Mambo-Tox specialises in studies in terrestrial ecotoxicology (principally involving arthropods, honeybees and soil invertebrates).

They began in 1984 as the Agrochemical Evaluation Unit (AEU), a consultancy research group based at the University of Southampton. In April 1999 they became a private company, with the name of Mambo-Tox Ltd. They have been evaluating the efficacy and environmental side-effects of plant protection products for two decades.

Mambo-tox will be using their SGR for a range of specialist studies to evaluate the efficacy of agrochemical products, under both laboratory and field conditions. Sequential testing programmes with non-target arthropods are designed to demonstrate the inherent toxicity (or lack of it) of plant protection products and biocides to key indicator species.
