High Performance Composites - The Way Ahead

The conference at The Nottingham Belfry will address advances in materials and manufacturing technologies that are essential to secure continued success for high performance composites.

Presentations will cover automated preforming and out of autoclave manufacture, advanced design techniques and applications in the aerospace, automotive and marine sectors.

Weiss Gallenkamp are heavily involved in the Composites industry, with a range of Heat Technology oven products suited to the testing of composite materials. Such products include curing ovens and the latest in out of autoclave technology- the Hephaistos Microwave Oven.

The Hephaistos offers a faster, more reliable alternative to autoclaves, and goes against the conventional method of Industrial Microwave Oven technology by offering a hexagonal heating area which provides a homogenous heat with no 'hot-spots' which are encountered in other microwaves.
