The Sterilisation Process

  • Process time: Time required to sterilise a sterilisation load not including the time required for loading and unloading.
  • Sterilisation temperature: Temperature which must prevail in all parts of the material to be sterilised during the incubation time.
  • Heating-up time: Time between switching on the steriliser and indication of the sterilisation temperature.
  • Equalisation time: Time between reaching operating temperature inside the chamber and reaching the sterilising temperature in all parts of the material load to be sterilised.
  • Destruction time: time required to kill a population of microorganisms of a particular resistance.
  • Safety margin: Allowance for varied amounts of contamination and the equalisation time of the material load to be sterilised.
  • Incubation time: Time during which the parameters relevant for sterilisation should be maintained in all parts of the material load being sterilised.
  • Sterilisation time: Time during which the operating temperature is maintained in the chamber. It equals the sum of the equalisation time, destruction time and safety margin.
  • Cooling-down time: Time between switch-off of heating at the end of the sterilisation time and reduction of temperature to 80°C on the display.

The high quality and reliable performance of the Series ST/SUT 6000 Sterilisers are well-suited for a variety of applications in biological, chemical, pharmaceutical and medical laboratories.

The sterilisers are available with natural convection (Series ST 6000, six different models) or hot air circulation (Series SUT 6000, five different models).

Safe and Reliable

  • Up to 300°C
  • 30 to 760 litres interior volume

User-oriented Design

The outer casing consists of coated galvanised steel. The chambers and internal fittings as well as the heating elements are manufactured of corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

The SUT Series was developed for sterilising processes requiring more stringent specifications for temperature distribution and quick heating-up times. These sterilisers are particularly suitable for the sterilisation of materials containing moisture, by providing high air-circulation rates. The chambers of both series along with the rmovable internal fittings are easy to clean.

Precise Temperature Control

The Kelvitron® Temperature Controller provides rapid heating-up times and low variations in temperature. The temperature range of the sterilisers goes up to 300°C.
